Cold Brew Milk Tea | Cold Brew Tea with Milk

This lightly flavoured milk has been my new favourite way of enjoying milk in the mornings. Inspired by cold brewed tea, this Cold Brew Milk Tea is a fragrant and delicious way of enjoying milk.

A mixture between milk tea and cold brew tea, this cold brew milk tea is a refreshing way to start off the day. It’s so easy to make and all you have to do is remember to prepare it the night before!

And the best part is that if you want to turn this hojicha milk (or tea of choice), into an iced bubble tea, you can do so in a flash! Serve the milk with some ice, brown sugar syrup, and tapioca and you’ve got yourself a flavourful iced boba milk tea!

What is Hojicha?

Hojicha is a Japanese roasted green tea that is made by slowly roasting twigs and leaves of the tea plant. Hojicha has a toasted nutty taste to it as well as a smoky-sweet flavour thanks to the roasting process.

  • hojicha tea leaves — you can also swap for your tea of choice. Earl grey is another tea that goes great with this method of brewing tea.
  • hot water
  • milk — use any dairy of your choice. I just went with a full-fat dairy milk.
