Cafe Style Korean Strawberry Milk – Carmy

Made with just three simple ingredients, this Korean Style Strawberry Milk is going to be a household favourite! Fresh strawberries blended up and then mixed with milk, this sweet strawberry milk is absolutely refreshing!

If you’ve been to Korea then you might have seen bottled strawberry milk in cafes. They’re made with fresh strawberries and once you have a sip, you won’t be able to stop. This homemade strawberry milk is inspired by those beautiful bottles but is a fraction of the price. It’s light, refreshing, and delightfully sweet. Even better, they require next to no work to make.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • strawberries — I always do a DIY vinegar wash on my strawberries before storing them in the fridge to extend their shelf life.
  • sugar — plain white granulated sugar is perfect for this. It helps macerate the strawberries by pulling out the juices of the fruit, forming a syrup, which makes the strawberries even sweeter.
  • milk — I went with full-fat dairy milk but feel free to use a different one. Using nut milks will change the taste a tad.

How to Make Strawberry Milk

Strawberries and sugar in a blender.

  • To a blender, add the strawberries and sugar.
  • Blend the strawberries to your texture of choice. I do not blend the strawberries all the way so there are small strawberry chunks throughout the milk.
  • Place the strawberry mixture in an airtight container and chill in the fridge for a minimum of an hour.

  • To a glass, add a couple of ice cubes and then add 3 or more tablespoons of the strawberry mixture.
  • Top off the glass with milk. I usually add just a bit over a cup or so to the glass, depending on the size.
  • Stir to combine. Enjoy immediately.

Recipe Tips and Notes

  • It’s best to enjoy this strawberry milk immediately or after a day in the fridge. If you’re not ready to drink the milk, do not combine the strawberry puree and milk.
  • If you do not have a blender, you can use a food processor. Altenatively, you can dice the strawberries finely and then use a potato masher or the back of a spoon to mash it up a bit.
  • To make this even sweeter, you can drizzle some sweetened condensed milk to the strawberry milk.
