As someone who spent years working at a chain pizza restaurant in her teenage years, their crunchy thin crust was my favorite. Now, in just a few quick minutes, you can make your own little personal-sized 5-minute air fryer tortilla pizza at home in an air fryer.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • tortilla — depending on the size of your air fryer basket, you can use a 6 or 8-inch flour tortilla. You can use all kinds of tortillas for these air fryer pizzas. There are so many to choose from such as low-carb tortillas, regular tortillas, spinach tortillas, whole wheat tortillas, sundried tomato tortillas, and more!
  • marinara sauce — my go-to marinara sauce is Rao’s! Again, you can easily customize this part by using any red sauce such as four cheese, mushrooms, herb, or even just plain pizza sauce.
  • cheese — I use shredded mozzarella cheese, but you can use your favorite melty cheese! Prolovone and cheddar are a great alternative.
  • toppings — keep this a simple cheesy pizza, or add toppings like pepperoni! I also love to throw on some basil if I have some on hand.
  • oil spray — just a spritz to help the tortilla crisp up.

How to Make Air Fryer Tortilla Pizza

  • Preheat the air fryer for a minute. Spray the inside of the air fryer basket with oil and add the tortilla.
  • Add the marinara sauce and spread it over the tortilla using the back of a spoon, leaving some space at the edge to create a crust.

  • Top the tortilla with shredded mozzarella cheese and your desired toppings.
  • Air fry at 400F for 4 to 6 minutes. Allow the pizza to cool for a minute before carefully removing it from the air fryer basket.

Recipe Tips and Notes

  • It’s up to you if you’d like to preheat your air fryer. If you don’t preheat the air fryer, you can air fry it for an extra minute. This recipe is very forgiving. Also, if you are making multiple personalized pizzas back to back, you do not need to preheat the air fryer after the first time.
  • Don’t add too many toppings! As the pizza “crust” is thin, adding too many toppings will lead to them falling off when you try to pick up a slice.
  • Use a spatula or turner to help you easily lift the pizza out of the air fryer.

I love my air fryer! This is the one I’m currently using and it crisps everything up perfectly with little-to-no oil.

This air fryer tortilla pizza recipe can be customized however you want! Here are some ideas on what you can add to your mini air fried pizza:

  • pepperoni
  • diced or shredded cooked chicken
  • sliced deli meat such as ham
  • prosciutto
  • sliced cooked sausage
  • cooked ground beef
  • cooked bacon
  • sliced mushrooms
  • sliced onions, red onions, shallots
  • jalapenos
  • crushed red peppers
  • spinach
  • arugula
  • broccoli
  • sliced tomatoes
  • bell peppers
  • banana peppers
  • pineapple
  • olives

Other fun ideas include using bbq sauce or pesto sauce instead of marinara sauce! Also, check out my roasted garlic aioli as a dipping sauce option. Hot honey is also a popular choice to drizzle over pizza.

Make Ahead Tips

  • Meal prep: if you want to make this ahead of time to pack it up for lunch the next day, allow the tortilla pizza to cool and store it in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. Keep in mind that the pizza won’t be as crispy when you reheat it in a microwave.
